I wish I could get a better rate for delivery however we are a small business (less parcel flow!) which means we don't get the lower rates that the larger businesses can offer their customers. Response: "Dear Kevin The FFrange meets certain SA standards whilst being exceptional for growing without containing any foreign debris; I guess that is why there is the price difference. I used FF compost last year;sweetcorn leaves the same length as my leg & Rbeans 2ft long!so there was a difference. Do try both and see what you think. Kind regards Lisette " Date: 11 February 2011

(Brian ordered more than 1 of a particular item so when the item went to posting it revealed that the postage settings online  at our old website had calculated too much-so we slipped some gold coins in the parcel as a postage refund!)

Our Culinary Herbs and Plants...

• Pippa sent in a postcard and wrote (refering to one of our potted Sweet Basil) Iit doesn't take long to whisk all the wrappings on shop products and once discarded they usually are forgotten. May I congratulate you on the charming presentation of your herbs that I purchased in Ottery St Mary. The simplicity of your packaging, skill taken to handwrite the labels and the thought put into the ecology of the product is worth all the time you must have spent. Thank you, from a concerning customer who appreciates nice things!

• Organic Gardening 10 week Course 'I thought the course was an excellent course to learn the principles and basic techniques of organic gardening. The practical tasks in the classroom were good and lots of fun. • A great grounding and base for beginners starting or completing old/secondhand gardens-the course covers everything you need to know and more. The most useful part of the course was the information and planning help given in starting my garden from scatch. Excellent course will recommend to friends. It makes a daunting project far less daunting. Ideal for all levels and stages of gardens but specifically brilliant for beginners. Jackie Torquay
